The Gang

American Civil War

The ACW is one of those ever popular periods within the club, a number of players have extensive 15mm or 25mm collections and we seem to run through a campaign every 2 or 3 years. We have used a number of rules in the past but for the last 5 - 6 years we have settled on the excellent Fire & Fury set for larger sized games where the basic unit is the Brigade. With F&F we seem to get a real feel for the conflict, plus we are able to move large numbers of our 'toys' around the table to give a visually pleasing as well as tactically challenging game.

Fire & Fury

Napoleonic Wars

The Napoleonic Wars are something that the club has come to late in life, we've dabbled, we've played and never really committed, in part due to lack of a gripping set of rules that give a good game. Recently we've been using the Shako system and mightily implessed we have been too!

So much so infact that we are now collecting on two fronts! First we are re-creating the French campaigns against Austrian and Russia, second as a result of a club trip to Waterloo, the Waterloo Campaign!
